Company: BJ's Heirloom Doll
Location: 815 7th Street South, Fargo, ND 58103
Birthdate: 2/10/50
Family Info: Married, 2 daughters aged 19 and 21 away at college
Medium: Have worked with the poly clays for years. In the last two years I have been working more in cloth and have been doing limited experimenting with paper mache'. I'm feeling the urge to spend more time with clay lately, tho.
Type/Style of Work: Whimsical. Characters. Ladies with attitude!
How Long: Seriously for about 8 years. I give away most of what I make.
Professional Credits: Have only entered one competition. Antelope Valley (Cal.) Doll Show 1998. Took home one trophy/ Best of Show in my class (amateur) and two ribbons First Place and Best of Class. I am going make more of an effort to enter competitions which is hard because we don't have any in my area of the country.
Comments:With my youngest off to college this fall, it's time for me to "put up or shut up". With less distraction and competition for my time maybe things will take off for me. I have millions of ideas and only need to let them flow. The internet and these discussion lists have really opened up possibilities for serious dollmakers.
