Location: 4019 Goldfinch Street #129 San Diego, CA 92103
Date of Birth: 4/4/32
Medium: Paper clay over wire armature - mohair wigging. I fabricate all accessories and sew all the draping.
Type/Style of work: Right now my work is fully sculptured female figurative. The pieces are 3" to the foot and range in size from 13" seated to 17" standing.
Comments: I started making dolls after the NIADA 1997 conference. Since then I have been working full time to build a body of work.
I was accepted for review by the NIADA standards committee in July 1998.
Professional Credits: I have been a professional figurative artist and illustrator using gouache and oils for 50 years. I graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in fine art and advertising design. Doing this kind of multi-media sculpture [one of a kind dolls] is the most extraordinary medium of expression I have experienced.
