Dollmaking Comments: As far back as I can remember, I've loved dolls. Sadly, my last doll was the only one to survive the rigors of a child's love and that only because I was getting too old to be playing with dolls anymore. However, she became the first of my collection. While I have always dabbled with cloth dolls, I didn't start sculpting them until around 1988 when I accidently discovered the wonders of polymer clay. It immediately opened up a whole new world for me and I have been continually stimulated by it ever since.
Dollmaking is a wonderfully relaxing and totally absorbing endeavor. Each new project is an engaging adventure for the imagination, encompassing the mind, body and spirit. It is an alluring obsession and I readily admit to my addiction. This passion is further enhanced by the Dollmaker's list, the Polymer boards and the friends I have made on-line. The doll World is well served by all the wonderful well known artists who so willingly share their expertise with an insatiable audience of aspiring artists like myself.
