Family Info: was married for 33 years until last March when husband died of Alzheimers---have two sons: one 32, BFA in Fine Arts/Metals from Montana Stae University---was a nationally certified Dental Technician until last June when he was downsized--and now he is here with me in Billings ans still "finding" himself. Other son--28--BFA in Filmaking from Montana State University--a chef in Bozeman until November when he is going to LA is work on an independent film.
Medium: Used to be a weaver until my retinas got weird and I cant see straight lines anymore (warps have to be straight!)--have been an ArtQuilter for 5 years---and I make Cloth Dolls---and am getting in FIMO.
Type/Style of Work: Whimsey mostly---and I usually design my own stuff--not into big time production things---I also do strange things with vinyl that I sell in art galleries--and I teach Color Theory in quilt stores and when one of the local profs at MSU-Billings campus wants me to fill in in her Art Education classes---I always have them do a cloth doll!
How Long: Oh lord how long?--I guess I pretty much already answered that.
Professional Credits: Instructor: MSU-B Art Dept--Into to Fibers, Galley Owner for 8 years in Billings --the Fiberworks Gallery--teacher in Young Artists Studio--Billings, teacher in local quilt stores--Original Design prize winner in Western Heritage Center Annual Quilt Show--2 or 3 times--one of the certified resident loonies of the local quilt guild---and now I am pretty much a Professional Doing My Thing, Its My Turn!
